XO-326AL

This Cosmos model is a compact, lightweight instrument to measure and monitor oxygen content if sufficient oxygen is present in air for breathing purposes, and to check oxygen content in inert gas areas, chemical processing plants and welding mills etc.

Features

The model XO-326AL has a large, clear liquid crystal diode (LCD) meter with a range of 0 - 40% and an audio alarm which activates when the oxygen concentration falls below 18%.   Two alternative versions of the instrument are available: Model XO-326AL - A 5m (16.4') long cable connects the instrument to the sensor, which enables the user to test atmospheres in manholes, tanks, bilges, silos, etc. where "testing before entering" is needed. The cable is normally wound on a spool provided on the top of the instrument case when remote sampling is not required. Model XO-326AL(B) - The instrument has the sensor at the end of a 1m (3.3') long curled cable and is normally used with the sensor attached to a holder on the top of the instrumetn case. The sensor cell is a small, leakproof galvanic cell which contains two dissimilar electrodes in a basic electrolyte. The sensor plugs in a socket provided at the end of the cable and is held in a plastic cover. It may be replaced in a matter of seconds. Two sum-3 (size AA) dry cell batteries, which are commercially available, give up to 70 hours of continuous operation. When the battery power is insufficient to provide normal operation, a distincitve, steady tone indicates that the batteries require replacement.
